EPHEMERA SARL (field & fish brand) is a member of the 1% for the planet organization, and as such donates 1% of its sales to environmental associations which are themselves approved to receive these donations.

In particular, EPHEMERA has helped the SOS Loire vivante association and the Fondation pour les Rivières Sauvages.
The 1% is a significant effort because, on the one hand, it is unavoidable: sales are an amount that cannot be "modified", unlike results, and the commitment is repetitive: we pay this amount whether our results are good or not ..... For us, it's a kind of voluntary environmental tax that we impose on ourselves to help maintain or restore the quality of our waterways, which are our main economic reason for existing: without them, there'd be no fishing ....
If you go to the 1% for the planet website and search for French sport fishing companies, you'll find that we're the only French fishing company to apply the 1%. As customers, anglers should be urging other companies in the sector to follow suit and help save our rivers. But many shareholders prefer to see the 1% end up in their own pockets ....
field & fish has chosen to donate this 1% to the Wild Rivers Conservation Fund. And as such, is directly involved in protecting our rivers and our fish...

NO PLASTIC PACKAGING
As you'll have noticed if you've purchased our products, we don't deliver our garments in disposable plastic packaging, but in mesh bags that can be used to carry your field & fish garments or other items. We now also deliver shoes and waders in mesh bags. Products are packaged as soon as they leave production.

BLUE DESIGN
The fabrics we use for our technical products carry the BlueSign label. BlueSign is an independent Swiss organization which certifies that the production of fabrics respects the environment, the health of those who produce them and the health of those who will use them. This certification covers all stages of production and all possible treatments. This label is the most stringent in terms of respect for environmental rules, and in particular covers all the points required by the European eco-label.

RECYCLED MATERIALS
Whenever possible, we use repreve-labeled fabrics: this label certifies that the fabrics come from the recycling of used materials. These materials are basically plastic bottles, but recycling also includes plastic residues from various production processes and, increasingly, the recycling of used clothing.
